My\u00f6s ruostumattomasta ter\u00e4ksest\u00e4 valmistetut postilaatikot kannattaa pest\u00e4 aina silloin t\u00e4ll\u00f6in suola\/kuraj\u00e4\u00e4mien poistamiseksi ennen mahdollisen korroosion muodostumista. Hoitamattomiin pintoihin voi muodostua ruostetahroja jotka eiv\u00e4t en\u00e4\u00e4 normaalipesulla l\u00e4hde pois.
